Our Story
St. Paul Street Evangelization (SPSE) is a grassroots, Catholic evangelization organization that equips Catholics to share their faith in the public square. Founded by Steve Dawson in 2012 after his own powerful conversion experience, SPSE has grown from a single team in Michigan to a nationwide movement with hundreds of teams across the United States and beyond.
Inspired by the example of the Apostle Paul, who boldly proclaimed the Gospel in the marketplaces and public forums of his day, SPSE trains ordinary Catholics to do the same. Our evangelists set up tables in parks, downtown areas, farmers markets, and other public spaces, offering free rosaries, miraculous medals, Catholic literature, and most importantly, the opportunity for conversation about Jesus Christ and the Catholic faith.
What a Team Looks Like
Set Up
Teams set up a table with a professional banner in a public location such as a park, downtown area, or farmers market.
Engage
Evangelists offer free rosaries, medals, and literature while engaging passersby in friendly conversations about faith.
Pray
Every outing begins and ends with prayer. Teams offer to pray with people they meet and follow up with ongoing spiritual support.

We are dedicated to responding to the call of the New Evangelization by training, equipping, and mobilizing Catholics to share the Gospel in their communities. Our patron saints include St. Paul the Apostle, Our Lady of Guadalupe, St. Francis de Sales, and St. Maximilian Kolbe.
