It was truly a beautiful day for the Kinsmen Farmers’ Market. We had a fantastic first outing. Nick, one of our team members, was running on fumes after a long night shift as a paramedic, but he was very engaged and encountered lots of amazing people. Thanks Nick! We distributed many rosaries, shared stories and just tried to be joyful witnesses of the faith. We can’t wait to do it again in a few weeks at the same location.
Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, give thanks in all circumstances.

We had a fantastic outing today at the Kinsmen Farmers’ Market. The sun was shining, our little display looked great and we had many beautiful encounters. Here`s a short list of today`s highlights.
A gentleman who has been with the KofC for a long time stopped by for a chat. He was very appreciative of our presence.
A young couple with two small children paused for a moment before asking a few questions. They inquired about parishes in Cornwall. We gave them the information requested and sent them on their way with rosaries and a few informative pamphlets.
An older lady was on her way to visit her husband and her son`s grave at a nearby cemetery. She stopped and chatted for a while. We then prayed together and she grabbed a rosary as a gift for someone.
A nondenominational Christian visited our setup. He politely asked questions about worshiping Mary and other myths about Catholicism. We had a great conversation. He left saying ” Well, I guess Catholics read their Bible after all….”
A very nice lady who works for the Diocese stopped by at the end of the day. She was happy to see us out sharing our faith with our community.
In conclusion, it was a really amazing day. The Holy Spirit was at work and allowed us to speak to so many great people. I am encouraged by the fact that younger people seem open and willing to engage in conversation.
Praised be Jesus Christ!
The work of bringing Christ and his teachings to the world is a battle with the devil. But Jesus has won the victory, crushing the head of the serpent (See Genesis 3:15).…
