This report comes from team leader Beth with the National Team in Warren, Michigan:

The football team from Everest Collegiate High School, a Catholic prep school in Clarkston, took more than their equipment to training camp this year. They also packed St. Paul Street Evangelization supplies and a desire to share the Gospel.

After camp, the team traveled to New York City, where they visited several locations, including Ground Zero, and reached out to those they encountered with Rosaries, Miraculous Medals, and offers of prayer.

Everest Collegiate teaches its students that athletics are meant to serve a purpose greater than winning games. This outreach was a beautiful example of that lesson lived out. Whether offering a kind word, sharing a sacramental, or huddling together in prayer with someone in need, these young men showed that faith belongs not only on Sundays, but in every arena of life.

May God continue to bless these student evangelists as they courageously proclaim Christ both on and off the field.
