From evangelists Ingrid and Rosa: (scroll for English)

In the summer of 2024, Rosa joined the ministry of St. Paul Evangelization for a short period of time. During that time, Rosa saw Noelia passing by and offered her a rosary. Noelia declined, saying maybe next time, as she was in a hurry to catch the bus.
Rosa noticed that Noelia seemed anxious and decided to follow her to the bus stop. She gently insisted that Noelia take the rosary, which Noelia accepted hurriedly. Rosa then asked if we could pray for her, assuring her that it would be quick. Surprisingly, Noelia agreed. Rosa quickly called Alpa, Albert, and me (Ingrid), and together we prayed for her. The bus soon arrived, and Noelia got on. However, Rosa felt that the Lord was asking her to continue following Noelia, so she obeyed and got on the bus as well. Rosa asked for her phone number, and Noelia gave it to her, Rosa saved it on her phone. Rosa remembers that she caught the last digit of the number just as the bus doors were closing.
The next day, Rosa called Noelia, who shared that when we prayed for her, she felt a burden lift, especially from her head. From that day forward, she felt inspired by the Holy Spirit to read the Word of God daily. Noelia also told Rosa that she had been unemployed and working only temporary jobs, with her son helping her pay bills. Still, she realized that even with little money, God had allowed them to support themselves. Rosa asked if she attended Sunday Mass, and Noelia replied that she did, but only when she can. Rosa replied that she was not truly attending Sunday Mass regularly and explained that Sunday Mass is a fundamental part of being a Christian.
As they continued to communicate more often, Rosa felt moved by the Holy Spirit to invite Noelia to the Spanish Sunday Mass at 1 p.m. at the Immaculate Conception. Noelia accepted and took the bus from Plainfield to Somerville. That day, she told Rosa she would like to be part of the choir. She later joined Saint Mary Church in Plainfield, and in August 2024, God invited Noelia to a silent retreat at the Divine Mercy in Easton, PA. There, Noelia experienced healing and liberation, which motivated her to seek out the choir and sing to the Lord. Her favorite song is the Alleluia, which I had the pleasure of hearing. I noticed that God has blessed her with a beautiful voice.
On August 1, 2025, around 6:15 a.m., Rosa contacted Noelia to invite her to another silent retreat in Easton, PA. Though unprepared, Noelia accepted immediately, packed her luggage, and took the bus to Somerville. Rosa and I picked her up and drove her to the retreat. On the way, we prayed the Rosary and Divine Mercy Chaplet. Once at the retreat, we were separated and had no contact until the end of the retreat on Sunday. At that time, Rosa and Noelia shared with me the story of how they first met.
Noelia is deeply grateful to God for everything that happened a year ago. First, for Rosa, who listened and obeyed God by running without hesitation to encourage her, even after she had initially refused. Second, for her own decision to say yes and allow us to pray for her. Third, for Rosa’s persistence in taking her phone number and inviting her twice to the silent retreat.
Today, Noelia is very happy because she knows more clearly that God loves her and has a great purpose for her life. She now asks God daily for the grace of humility so that she may be an instrument of peace.
