The following story comes to us from team leader Dr. Deb with our team in Owatonna, MN:
A man walked by and then came back later and asked us if he could pray for us. He told us that he had stopped to talk with us a few weeks ago, and we had prayed for him. He told us that while he was still dealing with the medical problems, his mental and spiritual health had totally changed after we prayed for him the first time. He said he was very shy and had been sitting listening to the music in the plaza, but felt the need to come to pray for us. He prayed a beautiful prayer for us. When I got home, I looked up his name from our stories, and he had stopped by for a problem with walking, which he had been going to Mayo for two years to try to solve. What a beautiful soul. We will continue to pray for him.
Jeannie (grandma) and Jess (mom), who were Catholic, came by to ask for prayers for Jess’s daughter, Avery. Avery had been diagnosed with Adrenal cancer after months of trying to find out what was causing her medical problems. They told us that Avery had been feeling ill for a while and had to take a break from college to figure it out. After she had severe stomach pain, they did a scan, which ended up showing the tumor on her adrenal gland. This tumor on her gland has been causing her blood pressure to continually increase. She was supposed to have surgery that day, but her blood pressure was too high, so now she has to return home and come back later for the surgery. She was pretty upset by the news, and so we prayed for her.
It was another beautiful day of encounters set up by the Divine appointment maker. Tom and I both felt so blessed to be able to listen to and pray with those we met.
Praised be Jesus Christ!
