The following report comes to us from team leader Janet with our team in Galveston, Texas:
Our team of seven went out to the Pasadena Indoor Flea Market and spent a few hours there meeting with people to share our Catholic faith. We had our table set up with our sign letting people know that we were there to pray for them and their needs. It’s not the first time that this has happened where God seems to set a theme and we hear it time and again from the many people who stop by. This Saturday that theme was prayer for the family. What I came to understand is that people are experiencing attacks on their families and requesting prayer from us for everything from disunity in the family, dysfunction in the family and spiritual and demonic attacks. Coincidentally, February is the month of the Holy Family and I had brought a framed picture of the child Jesus with Mary and Joseph and set it on our table. We prayed for families and encouraged people to pray the rosary. You’ve heard the saying, “The family that prays together, stays together.” We handed out free rosaries, blessed Miraculous Medals, Catholic brochures, books and holy cards. We have out vials of holy water and blessed oil along with blessed salt. We met many people including some young adults from Louisiana who stopped by our table. I had a great discussion with Hallie from Lake Charles who gives me hope that more and more young people are living their Catholic faith. It was a blessing to be there and we plan on going out again soon on March 21st.
Praised be Jesus Christ!
