The following report comes to us from team leader Ruth with our team in Conway, SC:
I recently met a chaplain at a local hospital that gives out little rubber Jesus figurines. I didn’t want to ask, but I really wanted one! Then a friend gave me one that her son had received on the neighborhood egg hunt recently at Easter. I loved it so much I ordered 200 and gave her back Jesus in triple. Before I knew it, I’d had many Jesus conversations and they were all gone, so I ordered another batch. I marvel at the Holy Spirit and what he can do with these conversation starters after we have begun the process by saying yes to share Jesus.
Recently, when I was leaving a nursing home after visiting a friend, a young male worker was looking at me as if he wanted to talk. So I invited him over and asked if he would like my friend and I to pray for him. He was very happy to receive the offer and we prayed over him. It seemed that the Holy Spirit touched him and he was glowing (so were we!) I gave the young man a small Jesus statue and he was so happy! This is a small, but nonetheless a great way to show our love for Our Lord.
Praised be Jesus Christ!
