Stories from the Street
Our Hull, Yorkshire, United Kingdom team reported, “Penny, Judith and I were joined by Jean who is an inquirer in our RCIA group and looking forward to being received into the Church. Jean was a great evangelist and engaged in conversation with a lot of people. For example, we met a young man who lifted up his shirt to reveal his chest… it was covered with a tattoo of praying hands and a rosary. That certainly was a surprise! I am glad to say he took a real Rosary with instructions about how to pray it.
Another woman asked for a rosary for her 97 year old mother who, being a Catholic, used to pray it. This aged lady now has short term memory problems and her daughter thought if she held a rosary she would remember it. We prayed with this lady for her mother and she was in tears.
Another conversation was with a lovely little family from Rochdale who came and talked to Judith for quite a while about Jesus. Josef who is 7 was very keen to have his photo taken and wanted to be featured on our website, so here he is.
Even though it was a soggy day, God still showed up as always! Hopefully we were able to plant many seeds that will bear fruit in His Kingdom! Thanks for all the prayers of your supporters, especially those from our prayer warriors who were at the Divine Mercy Day at Our Lady’s Shrine at Walsingham in Norfolk.”
AWESOME! You can do this too! These are not trained theologians or professional evangelists but everyday Catholics who love Jesus and His Church. Join us today!
